The Friends of Alafia Inc. Is a 501c3 nonprofit group established to protect, preserve, and support Alafia River State Park. The Friends raise money and provide volunteer services to improve your enjoyment of the Park.

 
How can you help?
Time and Talent: Volunteer to improve the Alafia park. Positions are available for a wide variety of interest.
  • Do you have a green thumb? We are in need of YOU to help in the green house.
  • Do you have native Florida plants in your landscape? We are seeking donations of native Florida flowers for our butterfly and humming bird garden.
  • Are you a skilled bird watcher? We need you to lead bird walks.
  • Do you like to fish? We need your help with a fishing clinic for children.
  • Do you hate weeds? We need you to help girlscouts in an air potato round up.
    •
  • Do you know how to use a GPS? We need you to help introduce families to Geo Caching.

Money: Park improvements cost money. Please make a donation to the Friends of Alafia.

Great American Cleanup - Saturday April 27

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful volunteers will join hands to beautify and green their
neighborhoods by planting trees, flowers and community gardens, clean up litter and
debris from public lands throughout the bay area.

Friends of Alafia, INC will be removing exotic plants from the Alafia State Park located at 14326

CR. 39 south Lithia, Florida 33457 or call Phone 813.672.5320 for directions.
